Irene M. Loeak Memorial Scholarship

The Irene M. Loeak Memorial Scholarship is for students of Johnson or Tarrant County who are of Marshallese descent. Students must complete the FAFSA and be eligible for Title IV funds and be enrolling in either a continuing education health career program or a for-credit certificate or associate’s degree program. This scholarship is a last-dollar award that pays after any available financial aid/grant (excluding loans) and may apply to tuition, fees, required supplies, and/or books. Students will write an essay on their Marshallese heritage, including where they are from, how this heritage has impacted them, and any other information they would like to share with the review committee. The recipient of this scholarship will be selected by a committee composed of Hill College employees and the donor.
